About Data Set

Survey data from samples of about 200 consumers on various topics in Excel as well as SPSS.

There are five data sets, each in its own folder with folder names indicative of respective contents.

1. Fast Food

2. Mobile phone services

3. Body piercing and Tattoo

4. Psychographics of Leisure Consumption

5. Clothing Store Preferences

  • They are arranged in the order of difficulty so Fast Food is the simplest (as is Mobile phones) and Clothing Store is the most involved.
  • You can perhaps use Fast Food to demonstrate and other data sets for students to analyze.
  • Each data set contains the data file in Excel and in SPSS. In the SPSS data file, you can see Variable View to understand the variables being coded. In Excel, column headings will indicate that.
  • Each folder also contains a questionnaire for that data set, in WORD.  Read it along with the data (Variable View in SPSS) or along with the columns in the Excel sheet.
  • We have included some SPSS outputs. And also in some folders we have included WORD file explaining some possible analyses.
  • You will be able to exercise your own judgment as to what analyses to pursue.
